Introducing new Enhanced Login Security, a free and easy way to help prevent fraud. Sign up once at your computer, set up your "Challenge Questions " if you have not done so already, and you're all set. It's that simple -- the next time you login it's business as usual. And the rest of your online banking experience will remain exactly the same.
Enhanced Login Security Protects You
This superior security technology protects your accounts from unauthorized access. It identifies you as the true "owner" of your accounts by recognizing not only your password but your computer as well. If we don't recognize your computer -- you've logged in from a public computer or one you haven't used before, for example -- we'll ask you challenge questions as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access. With Enhanced Login Security, you'll be protected from whatever computer you're using, whether you're at home or on the go.

What is Enhanced Login Security?

Enhanced Login Security is NJM Bank’s answer to Multifactor Authentication*. It strengthens security at login while providing peace of mind for consumer and business online banking users. Enhanced Login Security protects against online fraud by providing an additional end user authentication ‘factor’ beyond the username and password used today.

* The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) recently issued guidelines that direct financial instructions to improve their online banking systems by adding Multifactor Authentication by the end of 2006. Because the protection of your identity and security of your personal financial information are important to us, users will be required to register for the new Enhanced Login Security.
Challenge Questions - Enhanced Login Security and “Forgot your Password?”
All Online Banking users will be required to setup their Forgotten Password Validation questions with three Challenge Questions. These questions and answers will be used for identification for both online banking Password reset as well as for the Enhanced Login Security feature.
Enhanced Login Security
We understand how important it is to you to be able to access your accounts online when you need to, no matter when and where you are located. If we don’t recognize the computer that you are using to access Online Banking, you will be prompted to answer the three challenge questions you setup under “Forgotten Password” feature.
This will ensure that you are the true authorized person trying to gain online access to your NJM Bank accounts. Answering the questions will gain you temporary access to your accounts online from that particular computer. To allow continued access in the future from another location computer you can choose to enroll (add the security to) that computer. In future we recommend that you un-enroll that computer if you will no longer use it to access your accounts online.
