Personal Banking

Switch Kit

Ready to start banking the NJM way?

NJM Bank's step-by-step Switch Kit will help you make a smooth transition

Just follow these easy steps

  1. Use our convenient online Personal Deposit Account Application to open your new checking, money market or savings account. Or, if you want to take advantage of the special benefits of being an NJM Bank relationship customer, just use the online application to open your new Stewardship Banking relationship package. Print, sign and mail your completed account application to us, along with your initial deposit. Of course, you also can visit one of our branch offices at your convenience to open your account if you wish
  2. After you receive your new account packet and we have established your account, change your direct deposits to your new NJM Bank checking, money market, or savings account. Give or mail your completed Direct Deposit Change Form to your employer, your retirement plan administrator, or any other source of direct deposits. For Social Security direct deposits, changes can be made easily & quickly by calling the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 directly.

Forms for commonly accessed governmental agencies can also be found at the following Web sites:

  3. Change automatic payments or withdrawals to be drawn on your new NJM Bank account by using our Automatic Withdrawal/Payment Change Form. You will need to send these forms to any vendor that transfers any automatic payments from your old account to notify them to begin these withdrawals or payments from your new NJM Bank account. Remember to change any payments that may use your old Debit Card number. You may also want to consider making these payments in the future yourself by using our convenient Online Bill Payment Service, which allows you to decide the date and amount of each payment withdrawn from your account, unlike automatic withdrawals. If you decide to make these payments yourself in the future, make sure you notify the vendor in writing that you wish to cancel their automatic withdrawal or payment by completing our Automatic Withdrawal/Payment Change Form
  4. Close your old account when there has been no activity for a full month, and all of your direct deposits and automatic withdrawals or payments are being transacted in your new NJM Bank account. Simply complete the Account Closing Request Form and send or give it to your previous financial institution. At that time, make sure that you destroy any checks, deposit slips, and ATM or Debit Cards

It's as easy as that! If you have any questions, please contact us or speak to one of our Customer Service Representatives by calling toll free at 1-877-NJM-BANK (1-877-656-2265).
