Q. What are eStatements?
A. eStatements are an electronic version of your monthly account statement accessed through NJM Bank’s Online Banking. They look just like your paper statements, but you view them online.

Q. How do I retrieve my eStatements?

A. eStatements are available under the "eStatements" Tab on Online Banking.

Q.  How do I retrieve a check image?

A. If you have a paid check(s) listed under "Checks in Order" on your statement, click the Check Viewer tab at the top of your eStatement. Just click on the Check Number link to retrieve a copy of the front and back of your check.

Q. How do I sign up for eStatements?
A. It’s easy!  To discontinue paper statements, click the Additional Services tab within Online Banking followed by eStatements.  Your enrollment process will complete when you review and accept the disclosure.

NOTE: You must be enrolled in NJM Bank’s Online Banking in order to view eStatements. Online Banking is free to NJM Bank account holders.

Q. Why do I need to provide my email address to sign up?
A. We notify you each time an eStatement becomes available. This notification is delivered to your email address.

Q. How do I enroll in Online Banking?
A. It’s easy! Click the following link: Enroll in Online Banking. Once enrolled in Online Banking, click on the eStatements tab to enroll in eStatements. You must review and accept the eStatement Agreement.

Q. What software or hardware requirements are needed to view eStatements online?
A. The following are necessary for the operation of this Program:
• Personal Computer with internet access
• Microsoft® Internet Explorer browser (version 6.0 or higher) or Firefox (version 3 or higher)
• Adobe® Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher
• You must also be enrolled in NJM Bank's Online Banking

Q. What are the benefits of viewing monthly statements electronically instead of receiving them through the mail?
A. eStatements benefits include:
 

  • It's convenient! You may view or print your eStatements any time you choose.
  • It’s simple! You will receive an email when your eStatement is ready to view online.  
  • It's fast! Your eStatement is available days before the paper statement.
  • It's secure! Your eStatement will not be lost or stolen in the mail.
  • It’s environmentally friendly!
     

Q. Is there a monthly charge to access eStatements?

A. eStatements are FREE!

Q. When will I be able to view my first statement electronically?
A. You will have immediate access to your eStatements.

Q. Are eStatements secure?
A. Yes, eStatements are accessed securely through NJM Bank’s Online Banking. Your information is protected with the latest security features and requires an User ID and Password that only you know. NJM Bank's eStatement program uses 128-bit encryption security.

Q. Can I print my eStatement?
A. Yes. If your computer has access to a printer, you may print any eStatement file from the Adobe® Acrobat Reader software by selecting the printer icon in the tool bar at the top of the page. Or, choose the "File" menu in the upper-left hand corner of the screen and select "Print." You may print the entire statement or choose to print a specific page.

Q. Can I save my eStatement?
A. Yes. You can save your eStatement to your computer or disk from the Adobe® Acrobat Reader software by selecting the diskette icon in the tool bar at the top of the page. Or, choose the "File" menu in the upper-left hand corner of the screen and select "Save A Copy" (Ctrl+Shift+S).

Q. How long will eStatements be available for viewing?
A.  Your statements and check images are available for 18 months from the creation date, or as long as your account remains active with NJM Bank. For your convenience, you may also choose to save your eStatements to your personal computer.

Q. How will I be notified that a new eStatement is available for viewing?
A. Each statement cycle NJM Bank will send you an email notification that your statement is ready. To view and/or download a PDF version of your statement, please log into Online Banking through the NJM Bank home page.

Q. Does my eStatement contain the same information as my paper statement?
A. Yes. Your eStatement contains the same information your paper statement. The eStatement itself is a Portable Document Format (pdf) version of your paper statement and looks like the paper statements you're used to receiving in the mail.

Q. Will monthly statements continue to be mailed?
A. When you elect to receive eStatements, you will no longer receive paper statements.

Q. What accounts are eligible for eStatements?
A. eStatements are currently available for all NJM Bank checking and savings accounts with access to Online Banking. You will receive information for all accounts that are combined to your monthly checking account statement. Loan statements are not currently eligible for eStatements.

Q. I have several accounts with NJM Bank, do I need to enroll each separately?
A. On the sign up form, you will be able to list all the accounts where you are the Primary Account Holder.

Q. Can I access statements on a Joint Account?
A. We are required to deliver statement notification to the primary name listed on your current statement. However, as an account holder, you may have eStatement access to your joint accounts if you have enrolled on Online Banking.

Q. If I do not receive an email notification, does that mean that my most recent statement is not available?
A. No. Your most current statement is always available to you, any time you log in to your Online Banking account regardless of whether you receive an email notification. If you do not receive an email notification, it may be because:

Your email notification was delayed or deleted by one of the servers transmitting internet communications that are out of our control. Reasons why this may happen include:

The statement you expect to be notified about is not yet available. This may be because:

  • Your email address has changed and you have not notified us of your new email address.
  • You enrolled for eStatements using an incorrect email address. We will attempt to contact you by mail if we believe you have provided us with an incorrect email address during the enrollment process.
  • User-defined filters to protect against Spam
  • Please check with your email provider if you believe these reasons are preventing our email notification from reaching you.
  • The date you are expecting notification is within the current statement period and a statement has not yet been produced or,
  • The statement is not yet available (we will attempt to make statements available within 48 hours after your cutoff date).
  • You are not enrolled in the eStatements service.
